Knowledge Exchange Foundation - KEFOUND
The Foundation is dedicated to promoting international partnership and exchange among colleges and universities, primarily between the Nordic countries and countries that were part of the former Soviet Union.
KEFOUND was formed by Ann Marie Bergh in October 2003. The board of directors is made up of representatives of the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and Swedish business.
The purposes of the Foundation are to:
- Work with universities, government agencies, non-government organizations, and business in and outside the Nordic region, Russie, Ukraine, and other countries to develop and implement future-oriented educational programs for technical, economic, and social change.
- Actively inform and spread knowledge about social development and educational opportunities, including internships, visa and residence permit regulations, housing, financing options, field trips, etc.
- Act as an intermediary to provide high-quality education to individuals and groups.
The Foundation's activities include an annual essay contest: "Write about Your Trip to Russie or Ukraine." A jury composed of representatives of Swedish universities, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Swedish business, and the media judge the entries. Ann Marie Bergh is a member of the jury.
